Kelello Rametse
Managing Director (a.i)
Kelello is a strategic, visional and influential leader with the skills, passion and a track record of driving results and excelling in all facets of business development and management. He has a deep commitment to a consumer oriented service model, an innovative spirit, a collaborative orientation driven by an excellent conceptual abilities, superior management skills and the financial expertise to always ensure successful delivery. Kelello has financial services experience spanning 23 years, which culminated in him serving as a General Manager for one of the leading asset management companies in Lesotho for over 10 years before joining Metropolitan Lesotho as a Chief Operating Officer in June 2021. During this period, he has shown talent for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities, leading to exceptional business growth.
In December 2024, Kelello was appointed as acting Managing Director for Metropolitan Lesotho and with his deep understanding of the business, operational expertise and a customer-centric approach, he is well positioned to ensure a seamless transition while maintaining a strong focus on delivering exceptional service to Metropolitan’s clients and advisers.

Nyalleng Zulu
Chief Financial Officer (a.i)
Nyalleng Zulu is a member of the Lesotho Institute of Accountants, who is currently directing and overseeing all aspects of the finance function in the position of Chief Financial Officer (a.i) while also keeping her substantive role as Finance Manager: Business Performance at Metropolitan Lesotho, a company that she has proudly served for over 10 years. She is an experienced finance professional with extensive background that includes internal and external audit, financial and business reporting, business partnering and stakeholder engagement.
She plays a pivot role as a collaborator to ensure the achievement of the company’s strategic goals and objectives, providing useful business insights for decision making, presenting the financial performance of the company to the relevant governance structures and liaising with the different departments to foster strong control environment. Mme Nyallu is always an advocate of growth and stability and takes participation in forums that address management of financial resources in the business, as well as during her spare time with family, friends and associates, but mostly among the youth.

Kito Pooe
Chief Operations Officer (a.i)
Kito Pooe is a versatile Computer Engineer with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning. He is currently the IT Manager and serves as the Acting Chief Operations Officer (COO) in Metropolitan Lesotho, bringing 16 years of experience in financial services, consulting, and IT to his role. In his capacity, Mr Pooe provides strategic direction and leadership, overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of technology-driven operations within Operations department. His responsibilities extend beyond traditional IT management to include business process transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving digital innovation.
Additionally, he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Metropolitan Staff Fund. Mr Pooe began his career in 2008 as an Analyst Programmer and has since advanced through various roles, including Field Engineer and Business Systems Specialist. His career progression exemplifies his commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
He holds a Master’s degree in Computer and Electronics from North-west University in South Africa. His expertise spans Computer Engineering, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Artificial Intelligence (AI), coupled with a comprehensive understanding of how these technologies promote efficiency and growth in the life insurance and financial services sectors.
Beyond his technical proficiencies, Mr Pooe is an effective leader with strong communication, planning, and organizational skills. He has a proven track record of building and inspiring high-performance teams, facilitating skill development, operational excellence, and the successful execution of corporate strategies.

Tseliso Rammoko
Head of Life Retail
Tseliso Rammoko heads up the Sales and Distribution function within the Life Retail section of Metropolitan Lesotho and brings with him 17 years of progressive experience in the financial services industry across short term insurance and corporate banking .
He has a strong track record of leading cross- functional teams in delivering bespoke financial services solutions across risk management as well as corporate banking disciplines.
As head of Retail and part of the Metropolitan Executive management he is responsible for the development and implementation of retail strategies in various channels to drive sales, increase market penetration , increase sales productivity and enable operational excellence while fostering a client focused approach.
He has a passion for driving collaboration in delivering relevant and cost effective client solutions that drive growth and profitability for both his clients and the entities he works for.

Thapelo Mohami
Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance
Thapelo Mohami is an Advocate of the High Court of Lesotho and an experienced Legal, Risk and Compliance specialist and a collaborative business partner, with an ability to manage legal, compliance and enterprise risk and incidental complexities for financial institutions. Ms. Mohami’s 14-year career has been defined by her ability to provide pragmatic and solutions-driven commercial legal advice, focusing on delivering projects and results effectively and efficiently, aligned with strategic business objectives.
Ms. Mohami is experienced at enabling and partnering with different business units, advising on corporate governance, enterprise risk management, compliance and regulatory frameworks, together with assessments of business and legal risks in a fast-growing and dynamic business. Ms. Mohami is a seasoned risk management professional with extensive experience of establishing a legal risk & compliance function for a financial institution. In the financial services sector, she started as a Credit Analyst to ensure that proper lending procedures and controls were in place to mitigate credit and operational risks. She moved through senior leadership roles to ensure implementation and execution of effective risk management practices.

Motsieloa Nonyane
Head of Brand and Marketing
Motsieloa , famously Mots is looking after the Branding and Marketing department as head since 2020. Mots reports directly into the Managing Director and is a member of the Lesotho EXCO team. Mots is also acting as Head of Retail Distribution since October 2023. The responsibilities of these roles combined are to deliver customer value through commercialization efforts, end to end. This involves leading the designs and execution of marketing strategies that support growth and retention missions within the Life Insurance, Pensions, Health as well as Asset Management channels.
Mots started his business management career with Hippo Group of Companies, where he served as the Sales and Marketing Manager, then moved in the same role to The Legal Voice (Pty) Ltd before joining Metropolitan Health Lesotho (Pty) Ltd back in 2016 as Marketing executive. Mots has an entrepreneurial record in that he is a published author and has founded a marketing management consultancy that he ran as managing executive for 5 years.
Mots holds a Bachelor in Management Leadership (BML) from the University of the Free State and is a Master of Management (MM) in the Field of Strategic Marketing from the University of Witwatersrand. He is married with kids.

Maseipati Makhele
Head of Human Capital
Maseipati has a track record of proven success in Strategy Development, Corporate Culture change, Performance Management, Talent Management, Recruitment and Selection, Employee Wellness as well as HR policy formulation and implementation. She is passionate about Employee Engagement and People Development and is a firm believer in PEOPLE as a cornerstone for success of any organization. ‘Maseipati’s remarkable work ethic and drive for results has been central to her professional success and she continues to show her commitment towards Excellence in execution of her mandate as a Business Leader.

Lerato Mphaka
Business Manager Strategic Projects and Client Experience (CX)
Lerato Mphaka is an Information Systems professional with a passion for technology’s ability to connect people and foment human effort. She holds qualifications in Information systems, client centric business strategy, project management, business systems analysis using design thinking methodology, Innovation and Design thinking methods, UX Design and is a certified Client Experience Process Practitioner and Coach; all attained through various Institutions of higher learning such as National University of Lesotho (NUL) University of Cape Town (UCT), Stellenbosch, University of Virginia (USA) and the BP Group . She is currently pursuing an Executive Data Science management certificate with the University of Stellenbosch , as well as an MBA (focusing on Leading Innovation and Change) with York St. John University.
Lerato has over 13 years’ experience in corporate Lesotho, spanning the banking, insurance, and telecommunications sectors. She currently exercises her skills as a Business Manager: Strategic Projects and Client Experience at Metropolitan Lesotho, as well as the Founder and Executive Director of the Learning Mindset Foundation. She is also the former Chairman of the MMI (Momentum Metropolitan International) Millennial Advisory board. Her current obsession is the growing phenomenon of BIG data and predictive analytics and artificial intelligence, more specifically, the impact of these technologies on organizational competitive advantage. She is an avid learner of BI and NoSQL tools like Hadoop and Qlikview, however she will never forget her love for C++, fuzzy logic and AI.

Teboho Makoetlane
General Manager: Health
In July 2022, Teboho assumed the position of General Manager at Metropolitan Health Lesotho, taking charge of the leading medical aid provider in Lesotho. Metropolitan Health Lesotho provides access to healthcare services in Lesotho, South Africa, Botswana, Ghana, and Mozambique. Teboho’s primary responsibility is to secure market share and foster the growth of both mainstream and alternative health insurance solutions.
Under Teboho’s strategic leadership, there is a concerted effort to establish Health4Me, a low-cost product, as a household name in Lesotho.
He brings with him 15 years of dynamic experience from tenures at Metropolitan Lesotho – Employee Benefits, Minet Lesotho, Mamoth Health as well as Independent Consulting in Insurance, Pensions and Healthcare Funding. He is a thought leader and trusted advisor in both retirement funding and healthcare funding environments.
He holds the belief that investing in the empowerment of people is the most valuable commitment a leader can undertake. Consequently, he is dedicated to fostering a work environment characterized by fair accountability. He surrounds himself with intelligent and passionate people who are willing to act on their convictions as they execute their corporate responsibilities.

Lint'so Mafike
General Manager: Asset Management
With over 12 years of experience in the financial sector, Mr. Mafike currently serves as the GM Asset Management. His extensive background includes roles as an Investment Manager in the Pension Industry, Business Manager in the Banking Industry, and Finance Consultant in the early stages of his career.
He has displayed a strong passion for advancing high-impact socio-economic projects through Investment Banking and Investment Management. Despite being driven to enhance financial markets and the broader financial sector, his focus remains on deepening capital markets for development. In this environment, he has honed financial modeling skills, particularly in unlisted Private Equity, while serving as an Investment Advisory Consultant. His expertise extends to property development, financial research/advisory, strategy development, business support/optimization, and raising capital.
